Important information for those of you receiving help from Continuum
Continuum will stop providing home care services on 3 July 2025
This means that you will have a new provider to assist with your home-help service. This happened quickly and you may possibly have already learned about this through the media or received a call from an employee at the City of Västerås.
Why did Continuum stop?
Providing home care requires a licence from a public authority called the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO). Continuum no longer has a licence to provide home care services and therefore is not allowed to continue.
What do you need to do?
You do not need to do anything. The City of Västerås will call you over the next few days to help you choose a new provider for your home care. If you cannot answer when we call you, you will automatically get home care help from the City of Västerås. This is because there is not much time until Continuum will cease to be your provider.
What will happen before the changeover?
You will continue to receive help from Continuum until the changeover at 07:00 on 3 July 2025. The new provider will then take over.
